Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced, results-driven Retail Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end operations across multiple retail stores in Abu Dhabi. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, operational efficiency, customer experience excellence, and team productivity while ensuring brand consistency and long-term profitability.

The Retail Operations Manager will play a strategic and hands-on leadership role, working closely with store managers, regional teams, and head office stakeholders. You will be accountable for standardizing operations, improving store performance, controlling costs, and ensuring flawless execution of retail standards across all locations.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of retail operations, strong people leadership skills, and proven experience managing multi-location retail environments. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational discipline, and on-ground execution.


Key Responsibilities

Multi-Store Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations across multiple retail outlets to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
• Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, SOPs, and operational guidelines
• Maintain operational discipline across all stores, including opening, closing, and compliance procedures
• Ensure stores operate in line with brand, legal, and safety standards

Sales Performance & Business Results

• Drive achievement of sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals across all assigned stores
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance at store and regional level
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
• Support store managers in improving conversion, ATV, UPT, and overall sales productivity

Store Performance Monitoring

• Track key operational metrics including sales, shrinkage, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction
• Conduct regular store visits and performance reviews
• Identify underperforming stores and lead turnaround strategies
• Ensure consistent execution of best practices across locations

Leadership & People Management

• Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and regional retail teams
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular reviews
• Build a strong leadership pipeline through training and mentoring
• Foster a performance-driven, customer-centric retail culture

Operational Policies & Process Excellence

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies and standard operating procedures
• Ensure operational processes are scalable, efficient, and easy to execute at store level
• Drive process standardization across all retail locations
• Identify operational inefficiencies and lead improvement initiatives

Brand Standards & Customer Experience

• Ensure consistent brand standards, visual merchandising, and store presentation across all outlets
• Monitor customer service quality and engagement levels
• Handle escalated customer issues and ensure effective service recovery
• Drive customer experience excellence aligned with brand values

Cost Control & Profitability

• Control operational costs including staffing, utilities, consumables, and store expenses
• Identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising service or brand standards
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense control initiatives
• Improve store-level profitability through operational discipline

Inventory, Supply Chain & Merchandising Coordination

• Coordinate with supply chain and merchandising teams to ensure optimal stock availability
• Support inventory planning, replenishment accuracy, and stock rotation
• Reduce stock losses, shrinkage, and operational wastage
• Ensure timely execution of promotions, launches, and merchandising initiatives

Risk Management & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, audit standards, and local regulations
• Monitor shrinkage control, loss prevention, and store security measures
• Ensure health, safety, and workplace compliance across all locations
• Support internal audits and operational reviews

Reporting & Management Communication

• Prepare detailed operational, sales, and performance reports for senior management
• Analyze trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations
• Communicate store-level challenges, risks, and improvement plans
• Support strategic planning with data-driven operational inputs


Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Operations Management, or a related field
• Retail operations or leadership certifications are an added advantage
• Strong understanding of multi-store retail operations and performance management


Experience Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in retail operations
• Proven experience managing multiple retail stores or regions
• Strong exposure to fashion, FMCG, electronics, or large-format retail
• Experience working in structured retail environments with SOP-driven operations
• Middle East retail experience is an advantage
