Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance & Control Manager to ensure that manufacturing processes, systems, and finished products consistently meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. This role is critical in maintaining product consistency, operational compliance, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
The Quality Assurance & Control Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust quality management systems, leading QA/QC teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will work closely with production, engineering, procurement, and customer-facing teams to embed quality into every stage of the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of quality systems, hands-on experience in manufacturing quality environments, and proven leadership skills to manage teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems in line with ISO and industry standards
• Ensure QMS processes are effectively integrated into manufacturing operations
• Regularly review and update quality procedures, manuals, and work instructions
• Ensure organization-wide awareness and adherence to quality policies and standards
Standards, Compliance & Audits
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines
• Plan and lead internal quality audits and support external audits and certifications
• Coordinate certification audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings
• Monitor compliance across departments and drive corrective actions where required
Quality Control & Inspection
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections
• Ensure inspection plans, test methods, and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and followed
• Monitor defect rates, non-conformances, and quality trends
• Ensure laboratory operations and testing activities meet required standards
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
• Manage non-conformance reporting and root cause analysis
• Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes
• Ensure timely implementation and verification of corrective actions
• Reduce repeat issues through structured problem-solving and preventive measures
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, manage, and develop QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and laboratory staff
• Assign responsibilities and ensure effective utilization of quality resources
• Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members
• Build a strong quality culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
Production Coordination & Quality Improvement
• Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
• Support process improvements to reduce defects and improve consistency
• Participate in process reviews, trials, and change management initiatives
• Ensure quality considerations are integrated into production planning and execution
Customer Quality & Complaint Handling
• Handle customer quality issues, complaints, and non-conformance reports
• Prepare and manage customer corrective action reports (CARs)
• Coordinate investigations and responses to customer quality concerns
• Support customer audits and quality-related meetings
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation and records
• Prepare quality performance reports for management review
• Track KPIs such as defect rates, rework, scrap, and audit findings
• Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making
Continuous Improvement & Quality Culture
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools and methodologies
• Promote the use of root cause analysis, SPC, and preventive quality techniques
• Support lean manufacturing and process improvement programs
• Encourage quality ownership and awareness across all departments
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline
• Professional certifications in quality management (such as ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma) are an advantage
• Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems and compliance requirements
Experience Requirements
• Minimum 8 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control roles within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience managing QMS, audits, and compliance activities
• Hands-on experience leading QA/QC teams and laboratory operations
• Experience working with customer quality requirements and audits
• Exposure to continuous improvement or lean quality initiatives is preferred
