Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented, and hands-on Store Manager to lead the daily operations of a high-volume retail store in Doha, Qatar. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining brand standards, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

The Store Manager will take full ownership of store performance, team leadership, inventory management, customer service, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial awareness, excellent people management skills, and the ability to lead from the front in a fast-paced retail environment.

This position plays a critical role in achieving business objectives, building high-performing teams, and ensuring consistent execution of retail standards.


Key Responsibilities

Store Operations Management

• Oversee all aspects of daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation standards
• Ensure store readiness at all times, including opening and closing procedures

Sales Performance & Business Growth

• Drive sales performance by achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
• Analyze sales data, KPIs, and store reports to identify opportunities for growth
• Implement sales action plans to improve conversion rates, average transaction value, and footfall performance
• Actively participate in selling during peak hours to lead by example

Team Leadership & People Management

• Recruit, train, coach, and motivate store staff to build a high-performing retail team
• Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee development plans
• Foster a positive, customer-focused, and results-driven store culture

Customer Service Excellence

• Ensure consistently high standards of customer service and engagement
• Lead service initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and brand loyalty
• Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure effective service recovery
• Train staff on customer interaction standards, selling techniques, and brand values

Inventory & Stock Management

• Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and reduce stock-outs
• Oversee stock receiving, storage, replenishment, and stockroom organization
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy
• Minimize shrinkage through strong controls, staff awareness, and compliance

Cash Handling & Store Security

• Ensure accurate cash handling, POS operations, and daily cash reconciliation
• Implement controls to reduce cash discrepancies and operational risks
• Maintain store security standards, including loss prevention procedures
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements

Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation

• Ensure visual merchandising standards are executed consistently in line with brand guidelines
• Coordinate with visual merchandising teams to support campaigns and product launches
• Maintain attractive store layouts that enhance customer experience and product visibility
• Ensure promotional materials and signage are displayed accurately and on time

Sales Analysis & Performance Improvement

• Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports
• Monitor key retail KPIs such as conversion rate, ATV, UPT, and sell-through
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
• Share insights and improvement plans with regional or area management

Compliance, Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
• Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers
• Ensure adherence to local labor laws and company HR policies
• Support audits and inspections as required

Reporting & Administration

• Prepare and submit store performance reports to management
• Maintain accurate records related to sales, inventory, staffing, and expenses
• Support budgeting, cost control, and expense management initiatives
• Communicate store-level feedback and operational challenges to senior management


Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
• Retail management training or leadership certifications are an advantage
• Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service principles


Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a retail environment
• Proven track record of driving sales and managing store profitability
• Experience working in high-footfall or high-volume retail stores
• Exposure to fashion, lifestyle, FMCG, or specialty retail is preferred
• Experience working in the Middle East retail market is an advantage
