Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Maintenance & Asset Integrity Manager to ensure the reliability, integrity, and long-term availability of critical oil and gas assets, including pipelines, processing facilities, static equipment, and rotating machinery.

This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive maintenance and asset integrity strategies that minimize downtime, extend asset life, ensure regulatory compliance, and support safe and efficient operations. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary maintenance teams, manage engineering contractors, and work closely with operations, projects, HSE, and supply chain teams.

The position requires a deep understanding of oil and gas asset integrity principles, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to balance operational priorities with long-term asset health and cost efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Strategy & Planning

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
• Establish maintenance strategies aligned with asset criticality, operational requirements, and risk profiles
• Ensure maintenance plans support maximum equipment availability and operational reliability
• Optimize maintenance intervals based on performance data and failure history

Asset Integrity Management

• Ensure integrity and fitness-for-service of pipelines, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and other static equipment
• Oversee inspection, testing, and monitoring programs in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage corrosion control, integrity assessment, and risk-based inspection (RBI) programs
• Ensure timely identification and mitigation of integrity threats

Equipment Reliability & Performance

• Monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics
• Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Improve reliability of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors
• Reduce unplanned shutdowns and equipment failures through proactive reliability initiatives

Shutdowns, Turnarounds & Major Overhauls

• Plan, coordinate, and execute shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance overhauls
• Develop detailed scope, schedules, and resource plans for major maintenance events
• Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe and timely execution
• Control turnaround costs and minimize operational impact

Team Leadership & Contractor Management

• Lead, manage, and develop maintenance engineers, technicians, and supervisors
• Manage engineering contractors, service providers, and OEMs
• Ensure contractor compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards
• Build a strong maintenance culture focused on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement

Budget & Spare Parts Management

• Develop and manage maintenance budgets in line with business objectives
• Control maintenance costs while maintaining asset integrity and reliability
• Oversee spare parts planning, inventory optimization, and critical spares management
• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure material availability

Compliance, Safety & Standards

• Ensure full compliance with engineering standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain adherence to HSE standards and promote a strong safety culture
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with international oil and gas codes and best practices

Asset Management Systems & Digital Tools

• Utilize CMMS and asset management systems to plan, track, and analyze maintenance activities
• Ensure accurate asset data, maintenance history, and reporting within systems
• Drive improvements in asset management processes and data quality
• Support digital maintenance and reliability initiatives

Operations Coordination

• Coordinate closely with operations teams to align maintenance activities with production priorities
• Minimize downtime through effective planning and communication
• Support troubleshooting and urgent maintenance requirements
• Provide technical guidance during operational upsets or failures

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Prepare detailed maintenance and asset integrity performance reports
• Track KPIs such as equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance cost, and backlog
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
• Support asset life-cycle planning and long-term investment decisions


Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Professional certifications in asset integrity, reliability, or maintenance management are an advantage
• Strong understanding of oil and gas engineering standards and maintenance practices


Experience Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas maintenance and asset integrity roles
• Proven experience managing both static and rotating equipment
• Hands-on experience with maintenance planning, shutdowns, and reliability engineering
• Experience using CMMS and asset management systems
• Middle East oil and gas experience is strongly preferred
